We are very pleased to announce that the popular series, Artists & Authors, is back, on the first Wednesday of each month! In addition, we’ve begun a new adult programming series, Long Overdue, which will cover a broad range of topics and will be on the second Wednesday. Additionally, we are quite excited to kick-off a series of hands-on workshops on the first Saturday of each month, called Picture This!
Join us as we welcome our first presenters in each of these series’:
On Wednesday, September 3, in the Kozak Community Room we will host “Dandarians and Other Poems: a Poetry Reading by Lee Ann Roripaugh”. Based on sources as diverse as Heian period female Japanese writers and the world of science fiction, and drawing on her own experience as a second-generation Japanese American, acclaimed poet Lee Ann Roripaugh’s fourth collection explores a series of “word betrayals”—English words misunderstood in transmission from her Japanese mother that came to take on symbolic ramifications in her early years. 7 pm.
On Saturday, September 6, in the Kozak Community Room, Beth Knedler will share with us the ancient art of paper marbling.
Sure to enthrall! All materials are provided, but registration is required. Please call us at 677.7060 for more info.
