Summer Reading Program Kick-Off Party

The ‘Local Heros’ Kick-Off Party for the 2015 Summer Reading Program is here – Monday, June 1st, from 1 – 3 pm!

Local heroes such as Vermillion Police, Fire Department and EMTs will be on hand in the parking lot from 1-2 pm, and the party will commence inside from 2-3 pm. Superhero games, crafts, photo booth, snacks and more. While you’re here, you can pick up your program calendar and reading log.

The Summer Reading Program, which takes place during the months of June and July, includes things like costume creation, group games, physical challenges, LEGO robotics, creative projects, science and engineering challenges, and much, much more.
The 2015 Summer Reading Program, Every Hero Has a Story, is open to young people, preschool through young-adult, with programs, prize drawings, storytimes, reading clubs, and more. Families are invited to join the Read-to-Me program; adults are encouraged to register for the ā€œEscape the Ordinaryā€ adult reading program, with prize drawings available.
