National Library Week, April 8th – 14th
Where did the library lead you?
ILoveLibraries.org, an initiative of the American Library Association, is asking library lovers everywhere to tell them how the library led them to something of value in their life. One randomly selected winner will receive a $100 VISA gift card and a copy of “Firebird,” the Coretta Scott King Award-winning book by National Library Week Honorary Chair Misty Copeland.
Library lovers can post to Twitter, Instagram, or on the I Love Libraries Facebook page (@ILoveLibraries) during National Library Week for a chance to win. Entries can be a picture or text. Creativity is encouraged. Just be sure to include the hashtags #LibrariesLead and #NationalLibraryWeek for a chance to win. Details at: http://www.ilovelibraries.org/nlw.
During National Library Week (April 8th – April 14th) stop on by the Library to take your picture as part of our fun new #bookface photo series! Posing for a photo involves strategically lining up your face or body with a book cover that has a matching body part to give the impression of completing the cover art. Find your own book amongst the stacks, or choose from our selection at the Circulation Desk! Let us take your photo, or upload your own to Instagram or Facebook and tag us to share! You can also email your photo to firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll share it online for you!
