Tug Collective arrives tomorrow, June 3rd, with their traveling project ‘Who Eats at Taco Bell?”. Gaelyn and Gustavo Aguilar, Co-Artistic Directors, will ceremoniously bike into town and make their way to the library, where they will set up their ‘Taco Encampment’.
During their stay, they will make tacos with people, prompt dialogue, exhibit interactive art, and invite innovative forms of engagement around the question: What is it going to take for us to truly live inter-culturally?
Join us, and the Tug Collective, for Tacos and conversation Saturday morning at the Vermillion Area Farmer’s Market, at the Platz, 9 – 12.
We will follow that up with a bike jaunt out to Spirit Mound, to visit this locally infamous spot along the Lewis & Clark Trail. We will depart from the Library at 2 pm. All are welcome!
Due to the library construction project and upcoming move into a temporary space, we are now in the midst of packing up the contents of the South Dakota Room. These items will be unavailable until the renovation is complete in April. A limited number of genealogy sources and cemetery records will be available. Please call 677-7060 for more information.
