We’ve teamed up with the Vermillion Theaters, once again, to provide an early-out movie opportunity for school-aged kids this coming Thursday, March 23rd, at 2 pm.
Trolls will be screened at the Coyote Twin Theater for free! Arrive early for best seats.
Sponsored by the Vermillion School District.
Once a year Jolley School’s third graders descend upon the VPL to visit the stacks, and rack up some reading time. It’s a little chaotic initially, but we love seeing their eager faces as they search for interesting books to read, and a prime spot to sit. Happy to help cultivate the love of learning in our community!
*CANCELLED DUE TO LOW PARTICIPATION*
Please be on the look-out for news about another Repair Cafe session coming on Saturday, April 1st at 12 pm.
The Library’s first Repair Cafe is coming – Saturday, March 4th, 12-3 pm. Don’t miss your chance to sign up!
If you have a digital device or computer that needs minor repairs, call us to sign up for a slot. At a Repair Café, everything centers on making repairs. Beginning at 12 pm and ending at 3 pm, various volunteer repair mentors, with tools on hand, will be available to help mentor participants through as many repairs as possible. Visitors interested in attending the Repair Café are encouraged to bring along a broken item during their scheduled appointment time. A suggested donation of $5-10 will help the Library to create fund that will be used to support young, tech-savvy volunteers to pursue certification. Neighbors learn together, and help support the continuing education efforts of area youth, at the same time! Almost anything that is broken is welcome – although our first Repair Café will focus exclusively on digital devices and computers.
You are invited to make your mark with the Vermillion Theater Community Mural Project!
This informational meeting introduces the new community based mural project at the Vermillion Theater, to be created in partnership with The Vermillion Downtown Cultural Association. USD painting professor Amber Hansen, Rebecca Froehlich and Carolina Pineda will give a presentation on the community mural making process, discuss how to be part of the design team, and take questions and suggestions. Everyone is welcome to attend, and refreshments will be provided.
The EBS Vermillion Public Library is considering offering mobile Hotspots for check-out to patrons. We need your feedback to help us determine program and device needs. Please take a moment to share your thoughts with us here:
Thanks, in advance, Vermillionaires!
