The Edith B. Siegrist Vermillion Public Library is pleased to join forces with libraries and schools around the country to bring our community the 2015 Reading for the Record, sponsored by Jumpstart. Beginning this week, all Storytimes will read this year’s book, “Not Norman: A Goldfish Story”, written by Kelly Bennett and illustrated by Noah Z. Jones.
Jumpstart’s Read for the Record® is a global campaign which generates public support for high-quality early learning by mobilizing millions of children and adults to take part in the world’s largest shared reading experience.

Dragons Are Too Seldom, but they are almost here…

While today is all about One Book South Dakota, we are still busy putting the pieces together for tomorrow’s arrival of Dragons Are Too Seldom Puppet productions. Bring your kiddos and friends to either of the fun performances scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday at 10:30 am, in the Kozak Community Room.

ALSO – don’t miss the exciting opportunity to build your own puppets! School-aged children are encouraged to attend the puppet-making workshop on Tuesday afternoon, 3:30-5 pm!
