Cook the Book: Pie

After enjoying the food, and discussing their books, Cook the Book participants have decided that the theme for next week is… Pie!

A selection of cookbooks featuring or including delicious pie recipes is at the Circulation Desk. These books are available for you to check out!

So if you’d like to join in on Cook the Book, the next meeting will be Monday, February 5th, from noon to 1 pm.

Bring Pie!

Coffee and Coloring

Join us for a new and relaxing coloring activity!

We are combining our weekly coffee and tea delivery from The Bean with a selection of Adult coloring pages and colored pencils to be used in the quiet environment of the Library.

Starting Friday, January 19th.

8:30 am until about 10:30 am (or whenever the coffee runs out!).

This activity is meant just for adults, because we like to color too!

Food in Film Series Coming to the Public Library

Food is more than mere sustenance – it is a major means of communicating culture, unspoken messages, and family values. In this 4-session series, we will view four iconic food films from several cultures to explore the role of food as communication.
Discussion will follow!

Films included in this series: “Babette’s Feast” (Denmark), “Eat Drink Man Woman” (Taiwan), “Tampopo” (Japan), and “What’s Cooking” (USA).

The first film will be shown Monday, January 22nd at 6:00 pm in the Kozak Room!
