The Edith B. Siegrist Vermillion Public Library is celebrating National Library Week by with an exciting line-up of activities:

Beginning Monday, April 10th at 10 am, we invite patrons and community members to stop by for our #librarylove photo op!  We are looking for library friends of all ages and backgrounds to have their portraits added to our collection, which are showcased here in the library.
On Tuesday, April 11th from 12-1 pm the library will honor our volunteers and donors in a special reception.  All are welcome.
Wednesday, April 12th is Library Card Upgrade Day! Is your library card old and tattered?  Lost?  Just interested in switching to a handy key-card?  For today only, patrons are invited to stop by and upgrade to a new card, without the usual dollar fee.  In addition, we will have some fun library-related goodies to give away.
Thursday, April 13th will bring the opportunity for patrons and community members to drop in and sign the Declaration for the Right to Libraries.  The Declaration for the Right to Libraries is an initiative of the American Library Association designed to build the public will and sustained support for America’s right to libraries of all types – academic, special, school, and public.  We declare and affirm our right to quality libraries and urge you to show your support by signing your name.
And on Friday, April 14th, we will reveal all the glorious portraits taken of patrons during our #librarylove photo shoot on Monday.  Don’t miss the chance to see yourselves or your neighbors and read what they have to say about libraries.
