Effective October 30th, 2017 patrons under the age of 17 will be required to have a library card to log onto public access computers. Guest passes will no longer be issued to users under the age of 17, unless exceptional circumstances apply.
To sign up for a library card please ask for a patron registration card and internet access form to have a parent/guardian complete and sign.
A library E-Card will be available for:
*Parents with children under 7 who are not eligible for a
full library card
*Parents who want their child to be able to use the library’s
public access computers and electronic resources but not
check out physical items.
Big changes have been rolling slowly out in our Tech Center and Youth Room. We’re still a ways off from our formal announcement of all the updates (yes, there’s more to come!), but we thought we’d give you a little sneak peek. Especially as some of our younger patrons are enjoying these updates already. Many thanks to the Vermillion Public Library Foundation.
Our new Tech Center reservation system is coming – Thursday, June 9th! A library card is all you need to get checked into a computer; easy peasy. If you don’t yet have a library card, you should – they’re FREE for all Clay County residents:)
In preparation, our Tech Center will be closed to the public ALL DAY on Wednesday, June 8th. We apologize for the inconvenience, but sincerely hope all patrons will be pleased with the new system.
