Tech & Toddies, our newest adult program, returns this month on Friday, February 17th, from 7-9 pm.
This time around we’ll be having a grown-up play time with LEGOS and coloring pages – some of our favorite childhood activities;) The Library will provide some light refreshments (although you may BYOB), all needed supplies, and we’ve even got childcare!
Give us a call at the Circulation Desk to sign-up. 21 & up only, please.

New Tech Program for Adults

In response to requests from patrons, the Library is excited to share a new program for adults in the New Year: Tech & Toddies!

Adults who love techie toys are invited to join in the fun for a new series of social hours on the 3rd Fridays of each month. Beginning January 20th, folks can be introduced to a variety of geeky gadgets including LEGO Robots, Snap & Squishy Circuits, Coding and more. Refreshments are provided, but participants are welcome to bring their own beverages.  Adults 21 & up only, please.

The January session, which is scheduled for 7-9 pm, will focus on LEGO Mindstorm Ev3 Robotics. In 2 hours, participants will build their own robot and learn the basics of programming it. The facilitator will be Lauren Hollenbeck, 4-H Youth Program Advisor for Clay, Union, and Yankton counties, who regularly facilitates robotics session for youth at the VPL. All sessions will take place in the Kozak Community Room.
