VPL Book Club Bags:

The Vermillion Public Library proudly offers the “Book Club in a Bag” program for our patrons. Whether you’re already part of a book club or looking to get started, you are welcome to take advantage of this program. Designed to promote reading as a shared experience, “Book Club in a Bag” allows library customers to check out a bag filled with at least 8-10 copies of a book for up to four weeks. Also included with many of the titles are discussion questions for the club to use. Could anything be more convenient or affordable since the service is free to library members? We don’t think so! Visit the Circulation Desk to get your club started today!

The program currently offers both fiction and nonfiction titles to groups of all ages, and plans to expand the list as the program develops. Don’t see one you like? Let us know! We’d love to fulfill your requests.

Community-Supported Book Clubs:

In addition, if you are already part of a book club (or any community organization), we welcome suggested titles that your group would like to read – we can order the books and host your group’s discussion! Call us at 605-677-7060. We would love to give you more information on how the library can partner with your organization and fulfill your group’s desire to read collectively. Book clubs with requests are encouraged to review the following policies and registration information, and submit a formal request for any titles they would like the library to consider purchasing.
