Join Miss Beth and Cornerstones Career Learning Center to celebrate Holi in June!
Holi is a popular ancient Hindu festival, also known as the Indian “festival of spring”, the “festival of colours”, or the “festival of love”. The festival signifies the victory of good over evil.
Generally Holi is celebrated around March, but we had to push our celebration back a bit. Now we’re doing a virtual festival in June!
On Tuesday, June 16th, Miss Beth will share two stories about Holi as part of her live-streamed story time. Just tune into the Vermillion Public Library Facebook page at 10:30 am CT to catch the live video!
And on Thursday, June 18th, Miss Beth will unveil a special Art @ Home video, where we will make art with colorful sand in celebration of spring! Video will be posted at 1:30 pm CT on our Facebook page and our website.
Sign up in the library lobby starting June 16th for a chance to get one of a limited supply of Holi Colors.
It’s 1:30 pm on Tuesday, June 9th, and that means it’s time for another episode of Science Tuesdays!
Today’s video is brought to you by Absolute Science and the Vermillion Public Library 2020 Summer Reading Program.
