Cook the Book – Zoom

Do you love browsing through cookbooks or trying new recipes and cooking techniques? Do you miss being able to gather with fellow foodies for Cook the Book at the library? Join us for a virtual session of Cook the Book online!

We will meet for our first online session on Tuesday, October 6th at 12:00 noon. Come prepared to talk about a recipe you tried over the summer! Was it comfort food? Something cooling? Something fun? You are welcome to prepare the recipe to show us how it turned out! Unfortunately we won’t be able to partake in a shared meal, but we can at least show off our creations and talk about food and books featuring food!

If you have any questions, please email Rachelle at [email protected].

Johnathan Celestin (Featuring VPL Staff!)

Johnathan Celestin’s concert is available now! The video will also be accessible via our Facebook page, and will be available for the next month. You can watch any time until then! Feel free to share it with anyone you think would enjoy the positive messages and love that Johnathan Celestin promotes. This video covers issues such as self-love, empathy, and fighting mental illness.

Keep an eye out in this video for your friends here at the library! Many of us are wearing our masks, but I bet you can make out who is who! We’ve got Rachelle, Sophia, Dan, Wendy, Jeff, Mackenzie, and Nicole! And some of us are even dancing.

Thanks for watching!
