‘Graduation Girl’

Miss Beth starts a new “Junie B. Jones” book! Listen to chapters 1 – 3 of “Junie B. Jones is a Graduation Girl” by Barbara Park.

It’s kindergarten graduation! All the children in Room Nine are excited when they get their bright white graduation gowns. Mrs. says to keep them in their boxes until the big day. But Junie B. Jones just can’t help herself. Then-uh-oh!-an accident happens! Can Junie B. find a way to fix things?

Teen Friday!

It’s Teen Friday! This week, we’ll be learning how to write our names in hieroglyphs and designing our own non-horse unicorns (did you know the first unicorns were cows?). All supplies and instructions are bagged and available for pick up on the Summer Reading Program shelf inside the library’s south entrance. For the hieroglyphs activity, we have some tan card stock set right next to the kits, remember to grab one sheet with each kit!

We also have some new Greek god pins available. Make sure to pick some up to add to your pantheon!

We will be having the weekly teen Zoom meeting at 1:30pm. If you are interested, email the Youth Services Assistant, Mackenzie, at [email protected] for the login information.

Peep in Her Pocket!

Miss Beth reads “Junie B. Jones Has a Peep in Her Pocket” by Barbara Park! Chapters 1 – 3.

“E-I-E-I-O! It’s almost the end of the school year, and Room Nine is taking a field trip to a farm! The whole class is very excited . . . except Junie B. Jones. ‘Cause farms have scary ponies, that’s why. And scary roosters, too. (Meanie Jim says that roosters can peck your head into a nub. And that is NOT pleasant). Will Junie B. find anything good at this place? Or will this turn out to be the worstest field trip ever?”

Little Red Riding Hood

Little Red Riding Hood by the Grimm Brothers, performed by the Dollhouse Theatre Players. Rated PG for some violent wolf behavior and (possibly) premeditated murder.
