While the Edith B Siegrist Vermillion Public Library is closed to the public due to COVID-19 concerns we will be offering a pick-up service.
How Pick-up Works:
* The preferred method of requesting materials is online via the library catalog. Please see the following video for a walk-through of how to do this. You can also 605-677-7060 and we will talk you through the process.
** If you request an item that is currently checked out, we will place a reserve for you and notify you when the materials are available for pick up.
*** Patrons can request a random selection of materials by providing a genre, topic or potential authors of interest. (Please note that while we will do our best to pick an excellence selection of random items, we cannot guarantee that the content will meet your expectations. Parents should review random items before providing them to their children to ensure they match their own family’s values.)
**** Puzzles will be temporarily unavailable for check out at this time.
***** Patrons who are home-bound or have limited or no transportation please contact the library for assistance getting materials to you.
We are closely monitoring developments pertaining to COVID-19, commonly referred to as Coronavirus. We encourage community members, especially those in high-risk populations, to stay away from public spaces. If you are feeling ill avoid contact with other people. Social distancing is one key way to slow the spread of the illness. Please keep in mind, as a public space, the Library cannot guarantee germ-free physical materials. You need to consider if using library materials is best for you and your family. As a reminder, the Library has many digital services available to you for free.
Out of caution and care for our community members, the public will not be allowed in the library building from March 22nd – March 29th.
